However, they made the shelves too close together. It does hold the smallest bottles of wine, but many "Standard" bottles (Dancing Bull, Rancho Zabbaco, etc) don't fit unless they are jammed in and then you can't get them back out without unloading the whole thing. Don't waste your time and get a model that is more versatile. As if insult to injury, the thermostat didn't work either but that was probably a fluke. It was a complete waste of time and money, the wine cooler worked for about 4 hours and then this uncontrolled beeping noise would continueoulsy play. I unplugged the unit and tried resetting it but the noise was still there when I plugged it back in. I called the company and all they said was it might be the control board. How does a wine cooler die after 4 hours. It was a fantastic, unexpected present and has so far worked perfectly for me. I've never owned a wine cooler previous to this one, but I do live in a smaller apartment, so it's compact size is exactly what I needed. As another review stated, the shelves are kind of close together preventing the BIGGER wine bottles from fitting side-by-side, however - all standard wine bottles will fit. I tend to buy the larger bottles of Barefoot Moscato, in which case I simply remove one shelf for the time being. Personally, I'm not at the point where I've collected dozens of wines and will RARELY have more than 12 bottles at one time to fill this fridge anyway.
